What is the Friends and Family Test?
The NHS want you to have the best possible experience of care.
The NHS Friends and Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback, so services can continually be reviewed.
How does it work?
This Test is based on one question:
“How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they need similar care or treatment?”
You will be invited to respond to the question by choosing one of six options ranging from “extremely likely” to “extremely unlikely”.
It is really helpful if you provide a reason as to why you gave your answer.
Comments can be provided anonymously and any details you do provide will not be passed on.
What happens to the results?
The results are collated monthly and all responses are reviewed individually to follow up on any comments that may need further attention. The results of the rating will then be published on our website. NHS choices will also be publishing the results for all surgeries.
Does this replace the existing compliments or complaints procedure?
No, you can still pass your compliments or complaints to us in the normal way.
How can I take part?
Your comments will help us to learn more about what you think of your experience and areas you feel we could improve upon.
Surveys are available in the Surgery.
