Text Message Reminders
Patients are reminded to ensure we have the correct mobile number for you as text message reminders will be sent to the number we hold on file.
Seeing the Doctor
It is always advisable to pre-book appointments in advance. This can be done by telephoning the surgery, going into reception or booking online (you can only book online if you have registered – please talk to a member of reception staff for further information)
If you have an urgent problem and cannot wait for a routine appointment please telephone the surgery as soon as possible where you will be seen by the Duty Doctor.
The Duty Doctor also sees patients at Tenbury Hospital and necessary home visits, therefore you may have to wait a little longer to be seen if the doctor is out on hospital visits or house calls.
All appointments are usually 10 minutes long. If you need more than 10 minutes please inform the receptionist when you book your appointment.
Seeing the Practice Nurse
Our Healthcare Assistant (HCA) and Practice Nurses are available each day for booked appointments.
In order to schedule our nursing appointments efficiently can you please tell the receptionist how long you may need. For example, some patients simply require a quick injection but others need a complex dressing change.
Saturday Morning Surgery
We have a GP based in the surgery from 8am to 12:30pm. The appointments available for this surgery are a mixture pre-booked and book on the day appointment slots. When all the available slots have been filled the telephone answering machine will be turned on.
Clee Hill Branch
Our Clee Hill Branch surgery is open 5 days per week on a part time basis. See the table on our opening times page for information.
Each Dr’s surgery at Clee Hill is an Open Surgery. Patients are seen the same day.
Please note that the Doctors consulting at Clee Hill can change days. Should you wish to see a specific Doctor please ring up on the day to check.
Can you be seen by a Nurse?
A Practice Nurse is on duty on Tuesday afternoon from 14:30–18:00. On Thursday afternoons there is an INR (Anticoagulant) clinic from 14:30-15:50 then from 16:00-17:00 there are Practice Nurse appointments.
Please advise the receptionist if you may need extra time with the nurse so that we can schedule our nurse appointments as efficiently as possible.
In addition to the practice’s normal opening hours, and additional surgery opening times as stated above, you can also book an appointment to see a local clinician in the evenings or on Saturday and Sunday at locations across South Worcestershire. GP practices are working together to provide extended access appointments to our patients. This means that your extended access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments are telephone only. These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times – when calling please ask for an extended access appointment and our receptionists will help you to find a convenient appointment.
