Welcome to Tenbury Surgery

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Tenbury Surgery, we hope you take your time to browse our website where you will find lots of useful information about the surgery and the services we offer.

Tenbury Surgery serves the whole of Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire as well as its surrounding villages. Our branch surgery at Clee Hill in Shropshire is open part time and offers a dispensing service.  Our patient list size is approximately 9500 patients and our practice area is approximately 100 square miles.

Our team includes four GP Partners and two salaried GP's, a Practice Nursing Team as well as our Practice Manager, secretarial, reception, administration and cleaning staff.  As a training practice we also have a GP Registrar as well as medical and nursing students.

We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children and pregnant women, diabetes, asthma, COPD, anti-coagulation therapy and smoking cessation.  We also have visiting clinicians who offer psychology and drugs misuse support.

At Tenbury Surgery we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence.

IN LINE WITH RECENT GOVERNMENT AND NHS ADVICE ALL PATIENTS ENTERING THE SURGERY MUST NOW WEAR A FACE COVERING OR SURGICAL MASK.  THESE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM LOCAL GARAGES AND SUPERMARKETS.  THE PRACTICE ONLY HOLDS A LIMITED STOCK WHICH IS RESEREVED FOR OUR CLINICIANS.

The blood clinic at Tenbury Hospital will re-open Friday 1st May 2020 and will continue to be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  NO PATIENTS are to arrive at Tenbury Hospital without a prior appointment made for them by a GP at Tenbury Surgery.  Your Doctor will make an appointment for you and Tenbury Hospital will be informed of your attendance accordingly.  This is to ensure social distancing is adhered to at Tenbury Hospital and all staff and patients are protected.  If you require a blood test please call our reception team at Tenbury Surgery on 01584 810343 and a GP will telephone you to arrange this.  Many thanks for your patience and support.

CORONAVIRUS

Please click on this link for more information

There have been misleading reports on social media that the surgery is closed or that one of our doctors has Coronavirus.  I can confirm that as of today (25th March) this is not true and we are using a telephone triage system for all appointments.

None of our staff have been affected and we are just trying to minimise the spread of infection by operating in this manner.

Our telephone lines are open as normal for all queries and we are still seeing patients subject to them being triaged first.  Patients that just turn up will not be seen.

We are taking 4 times the number of calls than usual and staff are trying to answer the phones as quickly as possible.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ISSUE EXEMPTION NOTES OR LETTERS FOR PATIENTS NOT WISHING TO WEAR FACE COVERINGS

For patients that have a chronic illness that affects their immune system, or on medication that affects their immune system please read the letter below by clicking on the link.

 Flu Vaccinations

All patients over 65, and those aged between 18 - 64 years who suffer with a qualifying chronic condition can have the vaccination free of charge.
Children aged between 2-3 years can also have a free vaccination which is in the form of a nasal spray.
There is currently an issue with ordering the nasal flu vaccinations, we are monitoring this daily and will order more as soon as possible.  If you already have an appointment booked for your child or wish to book one, please contact our reception teams on 01584 810343 (Tenbury patients) or 01584 890408 (Clee Hill patients) and they will take your contact details and be in touch as soon as we have more vaccinations available.
